Opened in 1846 on the Midland Railway's line from Leeds to Bradford Forster Square, this station closed in 1965. View south east towards Calverley & Rodley and Leeds. At one time, the station used to have a second pair of tracks to the right and four platforms. Other than the retaining wall to the left, no trace apparently remained when this image was taken. In 2015, a new Apperley Bridge railway station was opened some 300m west of the original - see Image
