New traffic lights at junction of Mitton Road and Severn Road, Stourport-on-Severn

The lights have recently been installed probably because increased traffic is expected to be generated by the Tesco supermarket currently under construction in Severn Road (the road on the left). At peak periods, despite the traffic lights, it can be very difficult to join the traffic in Mitton Road, which tends to form a solid queue. On sunny weekends, when visitors flock through Mitton Road to get to the riverfront, it gets even worse. The addition of Tesco traffic seems likely to intensify this problem. Image
