The church was opened in 1884 and was to the same design as one opened in Ombersley Road Worcester in 1885. Since then there have been many additions to the Bromyard Road church, including a major extension in 1961 and further changes since. The resulting building is a bit of a jumble of styles but no doubt serves its purpose very well. The church replaced a chapel built in Boughton Street in 1842.
