Viewed from the slopes of Wolstonbury Hill. The house was built in 1586 on the site of a former hunting lodge that served the medieval deer park. Since 1956 it has been converted into retirement apartments. Beyond in the distance to the left is the village of Hurspierpoint and the chapel of Hurstpierpoint College whilst to the right is the small town of Burgess Hill.
