Five months before the station was closed (14/8/61 for passengers), this was evidently expected. Having been closed from here to Great Malvern in 12/52, passenger services on the remainder of this curious ex-Midland branch line from Ashchurch ceased 14/8/61, but goods lingered until 1/7/63 for goods, Ashchurch - Tewkesbury until 1964.
