Some of the information about the town hall on the "Visit Colchester" website http://www.visitcolchester.com/Colchester-Colchester-Town-Hall/details/?dms=3&venue=0650782 is slightly confusing. It says (near the top) that the statue at the top of the tower is that of St Helena, Colchester's patron saint - whereas at the bottom it says that the statue at the top of the tower is not of St Helena, but the Virgin Mary. The building, of 1898 by John Belcher, is Grade I listed https://www.historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1337736 ; the text of the listing says that the statue at the top of the tower is that of St. Helena.
