A view westwards along Helpston Road taken from outside the entrance of Arthur Mellows Village College (AMVC). Helpston Road was effectively split into two when the A15 Glinton bypass was opened to the west of the village in 1989. Access to the roundabout near Howe Farm was blocked off to drivers from Glinton for safety reasons and to ease the pressure of traffic generated by AMVC. Consequently, it is no longer possible to drive directly from Glinton to Helpston along this section of Helpston Road although the route is accessible to pedestrians and cyclists via a footbridge over the roundabout.
