This is a view of the rear of "Chislehurst's best omni-function venue and sports ground" as seen from the pavement that runs parallel with the southern side of the Sidcup By-Pass (the A211). It seems that the northern part of the former Kemnal Estate was sold to the London Dock Labour Board in 1950 by the Trustees of Stuart Kemnal’s will and part of it was developed into this sports ground, with the rest of it remaining undeveloped for many years.
