See Image Although Swift was attached to a church at Kilroot, near Carrickfergus, his parish included Ballynure and it is said that he regularly preached in the village. Ballynure is now a parish in the diocese of Connor. So far as I know nothing remains of the old church at Kilroot. This plaque is attached to the old church at Ballynure.
