Gravestone, Kirkton of Mailer churchyard

Image: © William Starkey Taken: 16 Jun 2014

A memento mori on a gravestone in the burial ground at Kirkton of Mailer. This was a private burial ground not attached to a parish or church, and with lair-holders paying for upkeep. No one at present appears to be responsible for the maintenance of the burial ground, which has consequently fallen into disrepair.
