This notice dated 16th October 2013 inside the telephone kiosk in the High Street mentions that it was a Public Telephone Kiosk 01296 641201. Whitchurch Parish Council has requested to adopt this telephone box. We are therefore proposing to remove Payphone Service from this location. The nearest alternative payphone can be found at West View, Hardwick HP22 4DU (01296 641338). If you have any comments about this, please contact the Planning Department at Aylesbury Vale District Council within 42 days of the date of this notice (27th November 2013), quoting telephone number of this payphone. One wonders whether anyone did comment on this change of use. The postcode of this converted kiosk is HP22 4JA.
