View southward on the A23 Streatham High Road, with the entrance as rebuilt in 1985, the railway running underneath - London, left, Wimbledon, Sutton etc. right: ex-LB&SCR London Bridge - Tulse Hill - Mitcham Junction - Sutton etc. line, also Holborn Viaduct/Blackfriars - Herne Hill - Tulse Hill - Tooting - Wimbledon (jointly with the ex-LSWR). The latter service has been superseded by the Thameslink circular service via Wimbledon and Sutton since 1987. (My wife age 75, prominent).
