The slender stonework that carries the bells of St Barnabas church in Temple Cloud was designed by W.D. Caroe in the early 1920s. Perhaps it's not a coincidence that the structure is slightly redolent of a coalpit? After all, many local men went down the mines in North Somerset. See Image] for a look at the church's front.
