A remarkable building and quite unexpected. Or, as Pevsner had it, "monstrously showy". Certainly ill-disciplined, but the overall effect dazzles. The asymmetrical towers, presumably not the intention, do nag though. By a local man, Arthur Stott, 1888-90. Grade II* listed. Converted to flats.
