This view of the font seen in Image] and Image] is from the side looking northeastwards up the nave, and enables a view of the base which is hidden by flowers in the preceding images. A closer view of the base can be seen in Image] with other detail images Image] and Image] The double semicircular "cushion" ornamentation of the base is repeated on several other of the "Aylesbury" fonts in the area - see shared description below for more information. This font is considered to be one of the four finest extant "Aylesbury" fonts. It is also thought that the font at Bledlow is a local copy of this one.
