This building, unhappily obscured by trees in the neighbouring garden, was the Town Hall, built in 1798 and remodelled in 1892. It seems to have been in use as a drill hall from 1896 until 1924, when it was sold to the Salvation Army. It is now unclear (at least to me) what use is being made of it as there i nothing outside it to say.
