An unidentified Class 08 shunter sticks its nose out of the shed. Meanwhile, the Freightliner-operated Class 90 electric locomotive, 90041, is tucked inside. This building is visible from the Crewe to Stoke railway line, and is much further away from the station than the old Crewe Diesel depot. However, it's not quite as far south as Basford Hall yard, on the opposite side of the West Coast Main Line.
