The stark, distinctive brickwork of the original 1940 building still stands out, although it has been redesigned in the early 2000s, notably the main entrance. The school opened as a secondary school but has housed King's Park Primary for many years. Immediately behind the school starts the expanse of King's Park itself. See Image for a picture of the recent large-scale building works to increase accommodation, out of picture to the right.
