Between Jesmond Dene and Ryland Villas, Nos.50 to 54 Rustenburg Street, a terrace of three dwellings. Houses to the west and east are no longer extant, presumably demolished following damage in World war II. The city used South Africa as a source for a whole series of street names following a period of intense patriotism (later known as jingoism) during the Boer War, 1899-1902.
