The south side of the street was part of the Hull Dock Company Estate, which was developed 1788-98. No.36 was built by E. & T. Riddell, formerly occupied by 'Urban Angels', hairdressers, now 'Vandals' tattooing and, in the basement, 'Cads' men's hair.
