This veterinary practice occupies an older building in Canon Street that is linked to the old priory behind it. The priory was established in Taunton in about 1125 under the wishes of the Bishop of Winchester. The priory was later in 1158 to a spot outside the old town walls but little is left of it today. It's believed the monks laid out some of the local streets here, including Canon Street.
