For a view of the stone in context, see Image In the present picture, there is a cup mark near the centre of the image. Some readers may be able to discern that it is surrounded by two rings, but, as noted at the Canmore link in the end-note, the markings are not particularly obvious unless illuminated at a shallow angle. A single cup mark can be seen near the right-hand edge of the image, a little higher up than the other one. Most of the rest of the surface of the stone is covered with turf; this should be left in place: it serves as a natural protection against weathering.
