This notice, at the entrance of the Queen Elizabeth Temperate House, says the following: Was opened by Her Majesty the Queen on 25th April 1995 & named for Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother. The House was designed by Nicholas Thompson of Cole Thompson Associates & constructed by Wates Integra. The water feature was presented to the garden by the friends of the Savill Garden. The design, soiling & planting was undertaken by the Savill Garden staff.
