Corley Rocks is an outcrop of the Coventry Sandstone, whose age is thought to be on the boundary of the Carboniferous and Permian periods. The eroded stony band across the middle of the photo is interpreted as the debris of a flash flood in a desert environment. Members of the Warwickshire Geological Conservation Group head down to look at the western face of the rocks. http://www.wgcg.co.uk
