Bennett & Son is shown as trading as corn, cake, seed & coal merchants in Kelly's Directory of 1933 (see http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~sheilawb/kellys_1933_downham.htm ). Note the extensive use of carstone in the construction of this building.
