The new Morrison's supermarket which opened in 2013 is built up to the edge of the Cotting Burn. The stream flows through the centre of Morpeth, in places on the surface, and in others through culverts, and into the River Wansbeck soon after passing the newly built supermarket. The photo was taken from a footbridge crossing the stream.
