Part of the "family wing", this bright room has a much more intimate and informal feel to it than Image it was used as a family sitting room by the Egerton family as part of their everyday living accommodation when they were not entertaining guests in the much grander state rooms. The prominent feature of this room is its collection of satinwood furniture made by Gillows. This includes the bookcase dated 1795 and a pair of cabinets on each side of the fireplace. The paintings are family portraits.
