A path comes from near the Grandstand, crosses the racecourse twice and the open downland in between and the horse ride seen at http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/3978435 before plunging into the woodland of Walton Downs. This view is just before the racecourse is reached for the second time and the start can be seen to the left.
