Over the past 30 years Kinson has had a somewhat rough reputation among Bournemouth's suburbs and there are people who will tell you that this green is a den of drunkenness and delinquency. However, it has improved over time and today the main part of Kinson is a busy area of shops and has an almost villagey feel (as much as one can expect from part of a large conurbation) - Kinson as a village was mentioned in the Domesday Book, and is therefore at least 750 years older than Bournemouth itself. The centrepiece is this attractive triangular green at the junction of Millhams Road.
