Hidden pond

This little pond is at the end of a field behind the houses in Beech Avenue. It is always filled from a small spring and stream, but is unaturally large and square for such a pond. It appears to have been dug when this was the 'west field' and a place where cattle were quartered overnight before being taken to the market in town.
