A view from Uleybury hill fort south-east over the village of Uley. Once a centre of the cloth industry until the mills of Yorkshire contributed to the taking away of trade from the area - the cloth known as Uley Blue was widely known. In more recent years the Uley Brewery has been reopened and there is accommodation in the area for those walking the Cotswold Way - and other visitors. A personal tinge of melancholy to this picture, remembering Cotswold Wardens quarterly meetings and socials at the still thriving Old Crown and at the former Kings Head those years ago. Time photo taken 7.35 pm BST (British Summer Time).
