The memorial was unveiled in 1920. The Victorian fountain basin it stands on is a Grade II Listed Structure. See http://www.roll-of-honour.com/Yorkshire/Langcliffe.html and https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1132393 . Beyond is the Stocks Tree, which replaced an old tree in 1996. The houses in the background are Grade II Listed Buildings.
