This is Grade II* Listed as part of Image and 30 New Street as they were built as one house in 1577 for Richard Durant and William Blagden. 29 New Street was built as an annexe, probably outbuildings, and rebuilt in the 1670s. Further rebuilding was carried out around 1801 as a result of a fire in the 1790s. Gables were removed in the 1850s and more restoration was done in 1956. Another fire in 1986 destroying the roof of 29 was seen as an opportunity for reinstatement of the jettied second floor from surviving evidence.
