Taken from near to the larger of the two chapels on the site, this picture reflects both the size of this large Victorian cemetery (9.2 hectares or 24 acres) and its location with views across Charlton and some of the skyscrapers that make up the Canary Wharf cluster of buildings. The cemetery was founded 1856 by the Greenwich Burial Board.
