Looking south-southeast towards the Brick Lane Arch, designed by Mina Thaker and erected in 1997. It marks the southern boundary of Banglatown and as such has green and red from the Bangladeshi flag within its design. It very nearly marks the right hand edge of the gridsquare too! I wonder if all these markers of the boundary of Banglatown were purposely positioned to mark the boundaries of kilometre gridsquares? If so, whoever devised Banglatown must have had an excellent geographical knowledge!
