The Churton Memorial Fountain

Built in 1882. Commissioned by John Churton as a memorial to his parents and wife. It was originally placed a few hundred yards further down Brownlow Street but was moved here in the early 1930's because it was interfering with traffic. It was designed by the Chester architect John Douglas.
