Emlyn Williams wrote and directed the Last Days of Dolwyn in 1949 and it says on the plaque this was filmed in Rhydymain. This tale of an English water company flooding a Welsh village for a reservoir is notable for Richard Burton's film debut. At times, you can't take your eyes off him, writes Graeme Hobbs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emlyn_Williams
