Over the next 10 years Humber Aggregates' Newport Road Quarry will surround the farm. Seen from the entrance to the nature reserve's Crosslands Hide. When Humber Aggregates Ltd have finished extracting sand and gravel from this site, it will become Phase 2 of the North Cave Wetlands Nature Reserve.
