Whilst wandering around the cemetery at St Peter's Church, Heversham, I spied these curiously continental style grave markers lying against the outside (north) wall of the church. The name plaques had long since perished, only the brass screws remained. I wondered who they commemorated? Perhaps a prisoner of war from Bela camp, which is nearby? If I ever find out, I will update this record.
