The bridge remains in good condition. Oddly, the cutting on either side has been filled in, save for in the immediate vicinity of the bridge. After taking this, I was summoned by a slightly cross "excuse me!" from one of the houses which are behind me. I was asked to explain myself by a woman in a dressing gown leaning out of an upstairs window. I wish I'd thought to tell her that I represented a consortium who were going to rebuild the railway and that we'd be along to demolish her house next week, but sadly I didn't.
