Artificial lake at Silksworth, Sunderland

This lake is artificial, created on the site of a former colliery in Sunderland's suburbs. The blue sign to the right of the image indicates that the path forms part of the Walney to Wear (W2W) cycle route, a long distance route across northern England from Walney Island to Sunderland.
