A fine work by Richard Westmacott the Elder, signed and dated 1791, to James Lenox Dutton (†1776). The monument depicts a life-sized angel holding a portrait medallion with the profiles of the deceased and his wife Jane (also †1776). The angel is trampling underfoot the prostrate skeletal figure of Death.
