Wordsworth House, Cockermouth

Wordsworth House is a Georgian townhouse in Cockermouth. It was built in the mid-18th century and its particular significance lies in the fact that William Wordsworth was born in the house in 1770. The house, which is owned by the National Trust is a Grade I listed building. The house and garden are open to the public from March to October each year.
