The footpath is supposed to take you the other side of the trees on the extreme left of the picture through Thornhill Farm on to the main road, but it is very unmarked and very unclear. I followed the horses' tracks around the perimeter of the field, hoping to find an outlet to the road, but there is no footbridge across the brook until you reach halfway up the western side of the field.
