Scarrington smithy and horseshoes

Built around 1840, the smithy still retains two brick hearths. Listed Grade II. The pile of horseshoes was created by the local blacksmith, George Flinders, between 1945 and 1965. It is 17 feet high and estimated to weigh around 10 tons. It is now owned by Nottinghamshire County Council.
