The former Church of the Nazarene is currently a disused, Grade II-listed building owned by the University of Sheffield. Despite the Department of Music's move into the nearby Victorian wing of the former Jessop's Hospital building on Leavygreave Road (ahead) there is a plan to adapt this empty church into a licensed performance space for music, one that can become a place where musicians can present their music to interested listeners. Beyond the security fencing ahead is one of the entrances onto the building site where a new University School of Engineering is being developed.
