The nature reserve at Needs Ore is managed by Natural England with the co-operation of the Beaulieu Estate and its tenant farmers. This land was once marsh but was drained in order to reclaim it for farming. The buildings in the distance are the Coastguard Cottages at Needs Ore Point.
