Nos. 9 to 18 on the south side of the east end of Spon Street. The nearest building is the Shakespeare public house, a re-fronted 19th century building, behind which is part of Court no. 7, a surviving example of the many courts that were built in the back gardens of medieval plots due to the lack of building space for housing in the 19th century (the court is visible to the right in this 2014 photo: Image ). To its left, the white two-storey building is probably 17th century and altered in the 18th-20th centuries. At this time it housed Alexander Edwards, jewellers. To its left, the single storey 16 Spon Street housed Evesham Seed and Bulb Co. The farthest building, no. 9, was moved from its previous location of 7 Much Park Street and can be seen under reconstruction in Image . The tower block is the 1960s-built Mercia House.
