In the foreground of the present picture is a table stone, inscribed as follows: "This Stone is Placed by Margaret Carswell in Memory of Andrew Kerr her Husband, late Wright and Wood Merch't, Paisley, who departed this Life on the 10th of September 1807 in the 61st year of his age. Here also lie the Remains of Elizabeth Pollock her Mother who died on the 19th of Feb'ry 1795 in the 86th year of her age." [The published Renfrewshire MI records have Campbell for Carswell and Keir for Kerr, but are otherwise in agreement with the above.]
