These new trees include holly and a variety of deciduous trees. Thame Park is one of the oldest enclosed parks in England. The Bishop of Lincoln planned to use it for deer hunting in the 1130s. It is a private house and park. At this point just by the B4012 road a public footpath goes across to Sydenham. The road to Sydenham was diverted around the park in the 13th Century. See http://thamehistory.net/places/ThamePark.htm for history.
